My story starts in Germany, where I was born and raised. After I graduated from university with a Master of Public Administration (political sciences and business) I wanted to spend some time in an English-speaking country... Little did I know that I'd get "stuck" in Australia and that this would be the best thing that could have happened to me.
After an initial internship at Mercedes-Benz
in Melbourne and some temp work at various companies including Fosters, I was sponsored into a product management role at Bosch. This is where I gained most of my corporate marketing experience. As a product manager and later marketing manager I was responsible for market analysis, strategy, product management, market introductions, pricing, campaigns, digital marketing, lead generation, etc.
But all good things come to an end and I needed a change. Therefore I went to work for
as a Product Development Manager in their Solar and Emerging Businesses area. It was the change I had needed, but soon I found out I was pregnant and life was about to change in a different way. Project "motherhood"
was about to begin - and it has been the scariest, most exhausting and best experience of my life so far.
However, when my maternity leave was coming to an end, I realised that I wanted to finally do what I had been planning for a while: starting my own business.
Before and during my maternity leave I had helped friends with their marketing and realised that small and medium sized businesses often do not have dedicated in-house marketing expertise and might therefore be missing out on opportunities.
Knowing that I could fill that gap with my knowledge of marketing strategy and low-cost marketing tools, I decided not to go back into a corporate career and instead founded
Shoots Marketing Consulting.
Soooo.... if you are interested in any marketing support, let's meet up for a coffee
some time and have a chat.
